An Old Soul

You're an old soul, I have heard this phrase a lot of times. An old soul can sense an old soul. And so do people around me.
Do you wish to have any supernatural abilities? ah.. I wish I had that stick of Harry Potter and Magic :) ( Potter you're missed) :(
Most old souls tend to have a philosophical outlook on life,
Well having spend 21 days in a room with no one around, no cell phone and nobody!
Just me, my room, my books and the moon. It was Amazing!
Life is at peace, Life is wonderful sometimes without electronic devices like cell phones etc.
I could watch my life go, every move can be felt.
Strange but cool :)
The tick tick of my wall clock is the only sound in the room. I am in a relationship with silence!
I got up early morning. Let me tell you it's hard to get up early in winter's. But I just love the sense of winter mornings.
With a cup of tea, I come out. I don't see the sun. I wish to see the birds but it's still dark. Dark clouds. Snowy cold.
The wind blows so good in the morning. The deeper I breathe, the deeper I love Life.
I feel old in mind and old in heart. Probably a good feeling.
I feel a deeper and more natural connection with the world around me. I am sensitive and spiritual in nature. I believe in karma too.
Sometimes while talking and knowing other's perceptions.. I think I have a different way to think about Life in terms of money, relationships, possessions etc. Though I don't know which one is better.
I love to write letters and not an email but actually hand-written letters to people around me.
I mean it's an honest feeling when I pen down my thoughts for that person.
My brother says I am old fashioned.
I have been called Weird on many occasions while growing up. When there was a choice between sitting at the adult's table or the kid's table. I would choose adults, because of the real conversations may be! (which is a good-to-know-information)
When I tell someone I "have a feeling" about something or someone. Why do people find logic over here? Its an instinct simply!
I believe in simple pleasures in small moments in Life. Having a cup of coffee on an unplanned evening with a friend is more than a surprise. Again those hand-written letters or notes, watching beautiful sunrise or sunsets, a new recipe that comes out perfectly, counting stars and then realizing I am mad.. To watch a salman khan movie with popcorn and coke alone in the room. (Well that's my plan for tonight).
These are the kind of things I love doing.
And I think to myself,
What a wonderful world :)
Well Life is not about fame, status, wealth etc. Happiness cannot be purchased.
I don't see the purpose of pursuing things that can be easily taken away.
I was labeled few days back. People are good at labeling others. While I can't fight with Labels, I can try to use it in a positive way. I don't know from where do I get the strength to forgive and be kind.
But When I see people going out f their way to help, it's a heavenly feeling. My perception of possibilities in Life expands.
Just as some old people describe themselves as being "young at heart" so too can young people be "old at heart"! :)

P.S-  Anyone can join me for the late night salman khan movie :)

Things my first job taught me!

Obviously! It was not a dream job though it showed me the real difference between expectation and reality.
Well, there were good times and bad times.
Besties were the main reasons to show up to the office. Without them, all I had was the Evil thoughts and Why my boss was not grateful for my work?lol
And there were days when I got into ugly fights with people in office.
Overall it was a great experience, described as follows :

1. Low pay is better than No pay.
I have worked hard for the most expensive Heels!
I don't know how but i understand the saving method now. Money not growing on trees made sense to me. ( heyy mom.. Got yaa)
2. The true meaning f Attendance and Deadlines.
It's a real deal here. Need an off?? Apply in advance unless emergency.
Remember Mass Bunk??
Crap! Noone does that here. You know why? Because then it will be called as Strike and not mass bunk. Lol
Time to wake up and smell the bloody coffee!
3. Free time is an illusion.
I ended up working 10-12 hours.
Time management is a big deal , not as easy as I use to write in my business studies exam. But the fact is that I came out stronger.
4. Work Matters.
At work, the bosses don't care if one is wearing an expensive outfit. Quality work matters.
Anyway, nobody likes their boss. At some point am lucky enough to like my boss. And I never thought f quitting.
5. Crazy Weekend.
This feeling.. .. ..
So.. this is what Life is all about?!?!!
I even loved the sleeping and microwaving weekends.
6. Office Politics.
One cannot notice it. It can only be felt. I know I have described it well.  Lol
7. Nobody likes a Rude fresher.
People boss around freshers. If you say 'no' , that is considered as rude.
They treat fresher as a kid.
Everyone will tell you that this is not a college.
Alright, Thanks for the information. I'l make a note f that and draw a dick on the page. ( in the mind).
8. The big bad world.
Like a fairy tale, I use to believe in everything nice and lovely!
But guess what? You get to see different kind f bitches. And what practicality is all about.
9. Screwed Days!
When everyone calls and say that you, personally, are screwing things up. Believe me, it's hard to hear that.
10. Good customer service and Good Manners go a really long way. Period.

P.S- Sometimes Life is Simple, Plain and Good! 😊
